Monday 9th March
Hurricanes 6-NW Swifts 1
The Swifts endured a taxidermic experience at the hands of a rampant Hurricanes team who had sown
up the match by half-time. The quality of the boys football was all the more remarkable given the biblical nature of the conditions
during warm up and at the start of the match. Unyielding defence, tigerish tackling in midfield and ruthless finishing by
Eddie blew the Swifts league ambitions well off course whilst Cameron posed a selection headache for Craig Burley with another
outstanding performance between the sticks.
The boys benefited from a great home support so thank you to all who braved the conditions and to
the substitutes who shouted for their team mates as they shivered in the arctic weather.
The boys are mounting a serious late challenge for league honours.....bring on Beaconsfield! See Ray's
